Our boys displayed an exceptional performance, taking us back to the glory days of our rich history when we were the invincibles of the inaugural Football League. A quality trio There is no doubting Ali McCann's talent and potential, but the fact he didn't get off the bench on Saturday shows how well PNE's midfield is playing right now. Ben Whiteman has taken to the deep lying playmaker role admirably, while Alan Browne and Daniel Johnson both look like players back to - or at least very close to - their best. Those three make up a midfield you would not want to play against and Lowe has them playing to their strengths. Downs Should've been killed off You cannot really legislate for Daniel Johnson not being played in on both occasions in the second half. Emil Riis nutmegged a defender and then under-hit his 10 yard pass, before Ched Evans went alone and sent a tame effort straight at Neil Etheridge.
